Ten Friends offers you the opportunity to make a Tax Deductible donation to a specific project or to make a general (unrestricted) donation to Ten Friends or to the Elevate Nepal Initiative. General Donation to Ten Friends
| By making a "general" donation you will allow Ten Friends to financially support our programs and projects. Our Board, in consultation with our Nepal based partners and program facilitators, will determine the best and most effective ways to utilize your donation. Himalayan Education Center
| The Himalayan Education Center is a well established program supported by Ten Friends. Its focus is on providing education for young women who want to become teachers in Nepal. An annual donation of $1,000 will support one of these girls for a full year, including room, board, tuition, books, fees, etc. Read more about the Himalayan Education Center. |
Hopeful Home Orphanage
| In 2008, Ten Friends developed a special relationship with the Hopeful Home Orphanage (HHO) and helped them to purchase a new home. An activities manager was hired to give the children more structure and routine. In 2009, we hired a full-time activities director and tutor. Donation to Tilahi Village Projects
| By making a donation you will allow Ten Friends to financially support our programs and projects in the Tilahi Village (Formerly referred to as Elevate Nepal). Our Board, in consultation with our Tilahi based program facilitators, will determine the best and most effective ways to utilize your donation. Read more about Tilahi projects and programs. Donation to Village Libraries Project
| Part of Ten Friends’ Villages Library project is to provide libraries for those villages in which a book is a rare thing. In 2009, we established our very first library in the village of Lingham. Throughout the years the program continued to grow, and we now have more than 37 libraries in place! Read more about the Village Libraries Project. |
