Please join us for what will surely be a fun, educational and impactful evening hosted by Ten Friends in the Mountain Room above the Deschutes Brewery Tasting Room (in Bend on Simpson Avenue, not the downtown pub). This Deschutes Brewery sponsored event will be held on Thursday, October 2nd between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Free Deschutes Brewery beer, appetizers and pizza will be provided.

The evening will include:

• A social hour beginning at 5:30 pm
• A brief presentation about Ten Friends and its many achievements during the past year, including a highly successful trip to Nepal in August with four Central Oregon high school students (~ 6:15 pm)
•  A presentation on the Ten Friends supported Himalayan Education Center - a 12-girl boarding hostel that allows girls in rural villages to finish high school (~ 6:30 pm)

We have arranged (pending technical success) to have several of the young women from the Himalayan Education Center join us online for the event. We will provide information on how you can support the Himalayan Education Center. This includes not only the rewarding experience of sponsoring a child residing at the education center, but also an opportunity to help fund repairs needed by a recent landslide at the facility.
