Children were not provided the opportunity to attend school since their families could not afford to pay for their schooling.  They were relegated to a life of probable impoverishment.	Over 50 kids have been sponsored by Elevate allowing them to attend school, to receive supplies and clothing.  Through education, they are now on the path to improving not only their own lives but others who they will encounter.....perhaps even becoming leaders within their community.

Over the past several years Elevate has actively been involved in providing increased opportunities for kids to attend school and once in school to be successful in furthering their education.  Unlike in the United States, Public Schools are not free and require parents to pay for their child's tuition.  Elevate, through the generous donations of individuals,  has been able to sponsor over 50 kids.  This has allowed the children to attend school and has provided them with books, school supplies, shoes, uniforms, and registration and exam fees.  Students that have been supported include both those in early grades and those that have the ambition to attend advanced schools where they can learn a profession.  Through the support of local contributors, we are confident that we can make a long-term difference to their lives.

As like other Ten Friends projects, we implement sustainable long term solutions.  Our top funding priority for the use of donated Elevate Education Funds is to ensure that the children we have sponsored and who are presently attending school are able to continue their education. The average monthly cost for paying the government school tuition for the 50 plus students that we sponsor is over $500.  If we have adequate funds available, we look to sponsor additional students. We focus primarily on children of the Musahar caste but occasionally sponsor other Nepali children who we believe would benefit greatly from our sponsorship.  

Our future efforts will be directed towards developing a  more comprehensive sponsorship program that will provide you an option to sponsor a child on a long term basis and to follow their progress as they enrich themselves through educational pursuits.

Pay for a Child's Education 

Your donation allows Ten Friends/Elevate to pay for a child's education. Through your tax-deductible contribution we will pay for their tuition to a government school, pay for registration and exam fees, pay for after school care and provide them with books, school supplies, shoes and uniforms.
